Where: Turkey (41.8° N, 32.5° E: paleocoordinates 15.8° N, 44.2° E)
• coordinate based on nearby landmark
• outcrop-level geographic resolution
When: Çakrazboz Formation, Rhaetian (208.5 - 201.3 Ma)
• Laurentiaux states that the sampled unit overlies the Carboniferous coals and assigns a probable Rhaetian (or perhaps Lower Jurassic) age based on the conchostracan "Estheria (Euestheria) minuta var. brodiei Jones." The Çakrazboz Formation contains a latest Triassic flora (mentioned in Gand et al., 2011), so is presumably the source for the insects.
