AGE: Stated to be Middle Eocene according to Malumián (1990) and Concheyro (1991) on the basis of foraminifera and nanofossils, respectively. Correlatable to upper part of the Rio Turbio. Placed in Middle Eocene pending revised age. STRATIGRAPHIC POSITION: From beds near base of section.
