Where: Turkmenistan (40.1° N, 55.1° E: paleocoordinates 34.9° N, 59.8° E)

• coordinate estimated from map

• outcrop-level geographic resolution

When: Late/Upper Barremian (130.0 - 125.5 Ma)

• Layer 4 bears a fossiliferous base, with undetermined bivalve fragments, and it is followed by 1.5m of siltsone.

•Layer 5, which directly overlies Layer 4, is barren. Its lower part is made of 8 m of yellowish sandstone with intercalations of gray siltstone and/or finer poorly cemented sandstone; an oolitic level with fragments of molluscs on top; its upper part is made of 3.5 m of gray shale.

• bed-level stratigraphic resolution

• Epicontinental platform of the S Turan Plate.
• White micritic nodules are intercalated within this 6.8 m thick shaly layer.

•Fossils occur at about 3 m from the bottom of the Layer.
