When: Annenkov Island Formation, Hauterivian to Hauterivian (132.9 - 113.0 Ma)

• Wilckens suggested that the ammonite fauna suggested an upper Aptian age. However, Casey (1961) expressed doubts and thought that some of the ammonites (Georgioceras and "Puzosia matheroni") more closely resembled Neocomian forms. Stone and Willey (1973) described a Belemnopsis-like belemnite from the Cumberland Bay type sequence that suggested an Upper Jurassic-Lower Cretaceous age for that part of the succession. Crame (1983) identified inoceramids of the andina-radiatostriata group as indicating a Barremian-Aptian age, with Inoceramus cf. anomiaeformis indicating a Hautervian-Barremian age.
