• Bed 39 is equivalent to bed 4 in outcrop 235 and bed 5 in outcrop 236. Correlated with Bon Tsagaan based on pollen and plants.

Environment/lithology: lacustrine - large; siltstone and calcareous sandstone

• Marker cycle. At the base of fine-grained calcareous sandstone brown (5-10 cm) with open shells ... bivalves, gastropods ..... ostracods .... caddis houses ... Top cyclites compose siltstone (1, 2 M) grayish-bluish to greenish, from the bottom up layer observed buried on bedding planes Conchostracans wing, single houses and caddis ostracods (bottom 20 cm) above the massive greenish siltstones found isolated small gastropods ...
