Asher-Atlit-1 Borehole, reef facies, Haifa (Triassic of Israel)

Also known as Reef 2787

Where: Israel (32.7° N, 34.9° E: paleocoordinates 6.8° N, 27.8° E)

• coordinate based on nearby landmark

• small collection-level geographic resolution

When: Norian (228.0 - 208.5 Ma)

• group of beds-level stratigraphic resolution

Environment/lithology: reef, buildup or bioherm; lithified reef rocks

• The reef facies may correspond to platform rim biolithite reefs, or to ramp-like oolitic shoals and patch reefs.
