When: Maanshan Member (Ziliujing Formation), Toarcian to Toarcian (182.7 - 168.3 Ma)
• The Ziliujing is divided into (in ascending order) Zhenzhuchong, Dongyuemiao, Ma’anshan, and Da’anzhai members. A Toarcian age for the Dongyuemiao Member and an early Middle Jurassic age for the overlying parts of the formation is supported on the basis of macroplants (e.g. Meng et al. 2003. Acta Palaeontologica Sinica 42: 525-536)
