• "the strong degree of plasticity in growth forms indicates an unstable and shifting substrate possilby combined with strong fluctuations in sedimentation rate. Spherical colonies are today found in environments with high turbulense and shifting sediments...[Some corals were established directly on substrate; the rest of fauna used corals as substrate.] The benthic assemblage position is 1 to 2."
