• "The tabulates have branching or laminar skeketons, wehreas the stromatoporoides are laminar or massive. Colonies form close populations (3-5 cm from each other; the tabulate corasl avg. thickness is 2-5 cm. Rugosan colonies 20-30 cm or more in diamter), distributed in a mosaic manner. Substrate was a hard bottom formed from coral and stromatoporoid remains cemented by blue-green algal calcareous materials. Overall impression is of strong turbulence on a shallow shelf near bars. The clay-size material from this environment was deposited elsewhere. Outer part of BA 2 because of the overlying Eurypterus remipes t. Comm. and the underlying Rhynchotreta cuneata and Warburgella podolica Comm's."
