• STRATIGRAPHIC RELATIONS: From Vaca Mahuida Fm, which overlies the Roca Fm (Danian), and unconformably overlies the Barranca de los Lorors Fm (Late Miocene - terrestrial). THICKNESS: 44 m thick at type section. AGE: Late Eocene based on paleontological evidence, though not justified. STRATIGRAPHIC POSITION: Unknown position within formation.

Environment/lithology: marine; unlithified siliciclastic sediments

• ENVIRONMENT: Ranging from marine to freshwater. No evidence of estuarine environments based on taxonomic compositon.
• SPECIFIC LITHOLOGY: Difficult to assign to any single lithology. Text lists the following lithologies: alternate and subhorizontal claystones and limolites, tuffs, and tuffed sandstones, bioclastic limestones, psammites, psephites, and evaporites. LITHIFICATION: Assumed to be unlithified, based on figured specimens of Del Rio (2004).
