When: Pakhna Formation, Serravallian (13.8 - 11.6 Ma)
• Idalian series. Reed (1930) felt that "all these species point to the Langhian or Helvetian
•age of the beds of the Second Mediterranean Stage (Vindobonian of Deperet)." According to Eaton (1987): "Haskett (1984) studied outcrops on the road section to Pakhna from the T-junction on the Omhodos-Limassol route. An N9 age is attributed to the sediments at the base of the section, younging up the scarp toward Pakhna, with an age equivalent to N13 inferred from the absence of Globorotalia praemenardii and the presence of highly evolved Globigerina druryi.". The fossiliferous bed is a 25 foot-thick interval at the top of Reed (1930)'s measured section, suggesting a Serravallian age is the most likely.
