Where: India (23.5° N, 68.6° E: paleocoordinates 15.6° N, 66.7° E)
• coordinate stated in text
• outcrop-level geographic resolution
When: Bermoti Member (Maniyara Fort Formation), Chattian (28.1 - 23.0 Ma)
• From a 40 cm-thick bed. The presence of Nummulites fichteli, N. aff. vascus, N. sublaevigatus and Eulepidina dilatata indicates an early Chattian age (SBZ22b of Cahuzac and Poignant, 1997) for the lower part of the Coral Limestone Member, while the absence of Nummulites and the presence of E. dilatata suggest a late Chattian age (SBZ23 of Cahuzac and Poignant, 1997) for the upper part of the Bermoti Member.
• bed-level stratigraphic resolution
Environment/lithology: lagoonal or restricted shallow subtidal; dolomitic, shelly/skeletal, sandy rudstone
Size class: macrofossils
