• Assignment of the faunal assemblage to the lower Toarcian is justified by the discovery of ammonites, like Dactylioceras, and calcareous nannofossils, like Mitrolithus, Lotharingus, and Carinolithus.

Environment/lithology: lithified, gray marl

• In this sector the formation, 60 cm thick, consists of grey marls with thin laminated marly- limestone layers.
