Where: Aruba (12.5° N, 70.0° W: paleocoordinates 12.2° N, 68.7° W)
• coordinate based on nearby landmark
• outcrop-level geographic resolution
When: Seroe Domi Formation, Late/Upper Miocene to Late/Upper Miocene (11.6 - 2.6 Ma)
• Biostratigraphy and strontium isotope dating suggest an age range from Middle Miocene (Langhian and Serravallian) for the lower part of the formation and Late Miocene-Pliocene (Tortonian-Piacenzian) or possibly early Pleistocene (Gelasian) for the upper part (Foulke et al., 1996; Budd et al., 1998).
• group of beds-level stratigraphic resolution
Environment/lithology: perireef or subreef; lithified reef rocks
Size class: macrofossils
