AGE: Early Eocene, based on authors suggestion of "basal Eocene", correlations to Midway Eocene beds and Clayton, Georgia. Assigned to here to the Late Paleocene based on present day biostratigraphic data. STRATIGRAPHIC POSITION: From bed 2, near base of section.
