Lithology and environment
Primary lithology:concretionary,black poorly lithified claystone
Lithology description: Late Callovian black clay with limestone concretions.
Environment:transition zone/lower shoreface
Geology comments: Most of the gastropods studied in this monograph come from clayey facies of more or less open sea environments (Lukow: The source of the Callovian clay is probably the bottom of the Baltic Sea, northward from Gdansk).
Taphonomy

Preservation of anatomical detail:excellent
Spatial resolution:allochthonous
Collection methods and comments
Collection excludes:some macrofossils
Collection methods:sieve,survey of museum collection
Reason for describing collection:taxonomic analysis
Collection method comments: The collection comes from several sources. The largest part was collected by G. Jakubowski (1958-1966) and deposited at the Museum of the Earth PAS in Warsaw.
