Stratigraphy
Formation: | Vikinghøgda | Member: | Vendomdalen
Stratigraphic resolution: | bed
Stratigraphy comments: The thickness of the bed varies due to uneven compaction of the surrounding shale. The maximum thickness is about 5 cm but generally the deposit is thinner. The Bajarunia euomphala Zone and the Parasibirites grambergi Zone are equally likely whereas placement in the Keyserlingites subrobustus Zone is very unlikely though it cannot be completely excluded. The Bajarunia euomphala Zone is of early Spathian age while the Parasibirites grambergi Zone is of early to middle Spathian age. |
