• STRATIGRAPHIC RELATIONS: the Cayo Agua Fm is equivalent in age to the upper part of the Shark Hole Point Fm and the lower part of the Escudo de Veraguas Fm, no contacts are known. BIOSTRATIGRAPHY: from Collins et al. (1999); direct date extrapolated from Cheetham et al. (1999); also contains the planktonic foraminifers Globorotalia pseudomiocenica. STRATIGRAPHIC POSITION: At a height of 200 m in section 19 of Coates & Collins (1999).
