• A 17 feet thick zone of grey marl and rubbly argillaceous limestone. The exposed

•thickness of the Shinawari Formation is 902 feet (300 metres) and the fossil bed is approximately 768 feet (230 metres) below the top contact of Shinawari Formation with the Samana Suk Formation.
