Environment/lithology: foreshore; sandstone and siltstone

• The associated lithology, sedimentary structures (e.g., well-preserved ripple-marks), as well as the abundant trace fossils and the composition of the associated fauna of benthic invertebrates all indicate that these deposits very likely correspond to shallow (intertidal) environmental conditions, above storm-wave base.
