Where: Bonneville, Madison, Teton County, Idaho (43.7° N, 111.3° W: paleocoordinates 13.2° N, 34.4° W)

When: Dinwoody Formation, Early/Lower Triassic (252.2 - 247.2 Ma)

• Fossil found 25 feet above base of unit in shale.

Environment/lithology: marine; lithified, fine-grained, gray, blue limestone and lithified, brown, green, yellow, calcareous shale

• Limestone, gray to blue-gray (weathers tan, yellowish brown, or brown), fine-grained, thin- to medium-bedded, interbedded with thin units of greenish-yellow or brown calcareous shale.

Size classes: macrofossils, mesofossils
