• Of the rather poor assemblage or fossils, the ammonites, Saynoceras verrucosum (d'Orbigny), Polyptychites nucleus (Roemer) and Bochianites neocomiensis (d'Orbigny) point to the Upper Valanginian for the age of the clays

• group of beds-level stratigraphic resolution
