When: Lacui Formation, Burdigalian (20.4 - 16.0 Ma)

• The biostratigraphy of the Lacui Formation has not been studied in detail, but it is probably the same age as the Navidad Formation. Dating of the Navidad Formation has been debated, but radiometric, strontium, bivalves, and planktonic foraminifera are most consistent with a Burdigalian age (Finger, 2013).
