Environment/lithology: shallow subtidal; lithified, fine-grained, gray, cherty/siliceous limestone

• The rock is usually a fine-grained, light-gray limestone interbedded with layers of dark-gray to black chert.

Preservation: original aragonite, replaced with calcite
