• Only "Pliocene" given but most likely Piacenzian or Gelasian in age (Sphenarina not found in younger Pleistocene deposits according to later papers).

• Bathyal locality
• Lithified based on sediment characteristics at Milazzo Peninsula, and based on fossil preservation.
