• Also referred to as bed "a" by Bohlin 1949. Age and stratigraphy based on Nordlund 1989 (GFF 111:64-94) and Struresson 1986 (GFF 108:331-348).

Environment/lithology: marine; lithified, shelly/skeletal limestone and lithified, ooidal, black marl

• 18 cm thick dark, rusty-looking, limestone full of small brown pseudooids (small fragments of fossil in an intense brown color), with 3-4 cm layers of black, soft, marly limestone with small black ooids above and below. Fossils collected from middle unit.
