Environment/lithology: marine; calcareous claystone and ooidal, argillaceous limestone

• "The Sillaoru Formation is about 85 cm thick.. Furthermore, here, both the base and the top of the member are marked by purple phosphatized hardground surfaces. The overlying Lopukhinka Member is more clay rich. It consists of calcareous clay with highly argillaceous limestone with numerous iron ooliths. The carbonates are heavily bioturbated, penetrated often by Skolithos burrows together with Trypanites type borings. There is a layer of marl.", in Rasmussen & Harper (2008)
