Also known as Beatrix State Mine, Netherlands, depth 371.7-386.4 meters; Beatrix-70

When: Late/Upper Paleocene to Late/Upper Paleocene (58.7 - 33.9 Ma)

• This locality is either upper Palaeocene or Palaeocene/Eocene boundary. Downhole of this locality are marine limestones assigned to the Early Palaocene (Montain). The Montain has now been formalized as the Swalmen Member of the Landen Formation. This collection is presumably from the same locality as 1681A-4.

Environment/lithology: terrestrial

• The borehole is derived from lithologies that include grey, variegated, and sandy clays, fine grained sands, and browncoals (i.e. with 'continental' or 'limnic' aspect).

Size class: microfossils

Preservation: original sporopollenin

Collection methods: core,

• The slide is listed in the catalogue, but not found. That is why the locality is presumably the same as 1681A-4.
