• age for this cut is based on spores- Biozone BZ of Steemans 1982a and b, Richardsonet al.1981 and this is Gedinnian or upper Lochhovian or lower Pragian

• bed-level stratigraphic resolution

Environment/lithology: lithified, blue shale and lithified sandstone

• red psammitic shales (schistes in French), sometimes containing carbonate nodules, of larger sandstones, and at some levels of blue "schistes" . Elsewhere indicated that plants listed here come from the blue shale
