• "Shells badly preserved, but several...with closed shells indicate low intensity of current activity"
• Formation as a whole: "shales, siltstones, and sandstones, with several layers enriched by ferruginous matrix. The sandstone levels...are richly fossiliferous" For this sample: "Fossils occur in thin ferruginous intercalations in a sequence of interbedded sandstones and siltstones"
