• Age is based on brachiopods collected from the "susjacent" Dalle nacrée. Discus zone of the Upper Bathonian.

Environment/lithology: shallow subtidal; stromatolitic limestone and marl

• Thought to be a low energy environment based upon absence of oblique stratification or crossbedding, unbroken fossils, often intense bioturbation, and absence of pelagic elements.
• Limestone oolitiques and bioclastiques in thin flagstones, oblique stratifications of some decimeters of marls, clays, brachiopods.
