• Fossils are from a trench and associated fissure below, preserved in sand from weathering of surrounding upper Cretaceous sediments.

Environment/lithology: fissure fill; medium-grained, coarse, black, red sandstone

• 10 cm of black coarse-grained sand with increasing thickness and changing to red medium-grained sand towards the northwest. There is a thin level of microconglomerate at the top.
