Where: Bechar, Algeria (30.1° N, 3.9° W: paleocoordinates 24.5° N, 6.4° W)

When: Ypresian to Ypresian (56.0 - 41.3 Ma)

• Probably close to the Early/Middle Eocene boundary. This site is certainly older than the Gour Lazib locus 1, 2 and 3. The stratigraphic level corresponds to what Gevin et al (1974) have called the whitish 'Torba'.
