• Blanket deposit of gravel, sand, silt, and clay called the Gubik Formation rests confortably on the Tertiary. Assigned to the Pleistocene (originally to the Pliocene).

Environment/lithology: coastal; unlithified sandstone and siltstone

• Fossils collected from as high as 320ft asl. Terrace deposits.
