Environment/lithology: marine; concretionary, pebbly, pyritic, silty, carbonaceous claystone and shelly/skeletal, gray, blue, carbonaceous claystone

• primarily clay and silty clay, some nodular and pebbly horizons, some pyritized material, lots of wood fragments. Unit 1 is a blue-grey clay with bone and wood pockets.

Size classes: macrofossils, mesofossils, microfossils

Preservation: recrystallized, original carbon, replaced with pyrite
