• Forbes calls this bed 1, and calls the subunit the St. Helen's Sands, a naming that I'm not sure anyone else follows. Bed thickness is 8 ft.

Environment/lithology: concretionary, argillaceous, calcareous sandstone and green, yellow, sandy, conglomeratic marl

• This bed is a pale greenish white and yellowish marl, with patches of calcareous sand and comminuted shells; also argillo-calcareous nodules of various sizes. The Osborne Beds are sandstone and clay beds with concretions and some interbedded marl.
