Environment/lithology: marine; gray, yellow, argillaceous limestone and gray limestone

• "Occurs in yellowish-gray, argillaceous limestone, with interbeds of gray, fine-grained, compact, organogenic limestone, and partings of yellowish-gray calcaerous aleurolite (=siltstone) up to 2cm thick. The brachiopods occur as accumulations of articulated specimens...[suggestion] relatively quiet water."
