• Norian to Rhaetian age stated in text; according to Marcoux 1993 Nayband formation of Late Norian age. Conodonts and ammonoids below sponge-bearing beds are Norian. Kristan-Tollmann et al. (1979) considered the Oxycolpella beds (equivalent to the sponge beds) to be Rhaetian, followed by Schafer et al. (2003).
