Euromycter rutenus
Taxonomy
Casea rutena was named by Sigogneau-Russel and Russell (1974). Its type specimen is MNHN.F.MCL2, a partial skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Saint-Christophe-Vallon, which is in an Artinskian/Kungurian terrestrial siltstone/mudstone in the M1-M2 Formation of France. It is the type species of Euromycter.
It was recombined as Euromycter rutenus by Reisz et al. (2011).
