Taxonomy
Moyerella spinata was named by Ernst and Carrera (2008). Its type specimen is SA-3-2 (CEGH-UNC 23086), an other, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Rio Sassito Creek [Sassito Fm], which is in a Caradoc shallow subtidal grainstone in the Sassito Formation of Argentina.
