It was recombined as Solemya (Acharax) johnsoni by Woodring (1938); it was recombined as Acharax johnsoni by Dall (1898), Moore (1983), Coan et al. (2000), Huber (2010), Coan and Valentich-Scott (2012) and Kiel and Taviana (2018).
