Dimacrodon hottoni
Taxonomy
Dimacrodon hottoni was named by Olson and Beerbower (1953). Its type specimen is CNHM (FMNH) UR 146, a mandible, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Locality HA ("Lower San Angelo Fm."), which is in a Kungurian/Roadian fluvial claystone/conglomerate in the San Angelo Formation of Texas. It is the type species of Dimacrodon.
