Taxonomy
Rotodiscoceras hubeiense was named by Yang and Yang (1992). Its type specimen is Geol Brigade NE Hubei Province 87046 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Sijiawan, Wangren, Bed 7, Daye County, which is in a Changhsingian offshore shale/lime mudstone in the Dalong Formation of China.
