It was synonymized subjectively with Peronopsis by Robison (1995) and Jell and Adrain (2002).

It was assigned to Peronopseinae by Harrington and Leanza (1957); to Diplagnostidae by Whittington et al. (1997); and to Agnostida by Sepkoski (2002).
