Palaeopsychops latifasciatus
Taxonomy
Palaeopsychops latifasciatus was named by Andersen (2001). Its type specimen is GMUC 308, a forewing, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Gullerup Strand, Mors (Rettig collection), which is in a Ypresian marine diatomite/volcaniclastic in the Fur Formation of Denmark. It is the type species of Palaeopsychops.
