Chonetes pygmoideus
Taxonomy
Chonetes pygmoideus was named by Cooper (1957). Its type specimen is USNM 125469 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is S30, 1.5 miles WNW of Sherman Ranch, Grindstone-Twelvemile Creek area, which is in a Kungurian marine limestone/sandstone in the Coyote Butte Formation of Oregon.
