Delectosaurus arefjevi
Taxonomy
Delectosaurus arefjevi was named by Kurkin (2001). Its type specimen is PIN no. 4644/1, a partial skull (skull is lacking the lower jaw; right maxilla, right nasal, and right part of premaxilla are damaged, both stapedes are lost; walls of the braincase are partial), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Voskresenskoe-2B, PIN 4644, which is in a Vyatkian terrestrial horizon in the Russian Federation. It is the type species of Delectosaurus.
