Taxonomy
Koldinioidia was named by Kobayashi (1931) [Sepkoski's age data: Cm Fran-u O Trem-l Sepkoski's reference number: 1,16]. Its type is Koldinioidia typicalis.

It was assigned to Ptychopariida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Shumardiidae by Robison and Pantoja-Alor (1968) and Jell and Adrain (2002).
