Tanypterichthys pridensis
Taxonomy
Tanypterichthys pridensis was named by Weems and Windolph (1986). Its type specimen is USNM 391949, a partial skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Camp Creek, which is in a Mississippian marine carbonate/limestone in the Bluestone Formation of West Virginia. It is the type species of Tanypterichthys.
