Triassinella was named by Schneider (1956) [Sepkoski's age data: Tr Olen-u]. Its type is Triassinella chramovi.

It was assigned to Cytheridae by Schneider (1956); to Podocopida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Limnocytheridae by Forel and Crasquin (2022).
